I finally got my computer back from the shop. They apparently had to replace the hard drive and reboot the OS. We told them very specifically to save all photos, music files, and documents.

Apparently, they didn't understand what we meant by "save all photos". What they saved were the photos in "My Photos". They did not save any of the photos in my desktop folder which contained all of my photos from the past year and a half of modeling.

I'm somewhere between "trying to stay calm" and "absolutely livid". I had most of them backed up on cd or in my Gmail account but there were many new ones that I had not yet backed up. They were all organized alphabetically by photographer and then again by date.

I will try to organize what I do have and believe me, I will give the Geek Squad a piece of my mind the next time I see them. Long story short, I may be contacting my photographers on here to get copies back of my photos. In the meantime, I will try not to kill anyone.
